Website Care Plans

Your website is essential to your business

It is your business hub on the web, a place for potential clients to learn more about you and your services. It is where you can establish yourself as an expert in your niche and grow your community. To say that your website is the most important asset you own as part of your business is an understatement. The question you need to ask yourself: is it current and up-to-date and is it running at peak performance?

Your website is vulnerable

WordPress is a fantastic tool for building websites. It is robust, flexible, and user-friendly. Part of what makes it such a great tool is that it’s constantly evolving, so it’s really important to keep updated to make it more secure, faster and more visible to search engines.

Websites are no longer a “set and forget” part of your business. Just like your smartphone and your computer, websites need to be updated.

Your website needs constant care

Your website needs regular maintenance to ensure it is performing at it’s best. Keeping the website software and plugins up to date and tweaking things that need to fixed will ensure that your site always looks great. Uploading new images and adding new relevant content keeps the site looking fresh and interesting and gives your visitors a reason to come back.

Worry-free website care plans

Maintaining a WordPress website can be a tedious and overwhelming task. It takes you away from what you should be doing, which is running your business and building relationships with your customers. The technology and strategies continue to evolve and it’s a full-time job to keep abreast of all the trends and developments. Virtual MoJo will take care of keeping your website secure, stable and healthy, for you so that you can focus on growing your business.

Website Care Plan FAQs

How does it work?

All plans are pre-paid one month in advance and billed with a monthly recurring payment to your credit card. You will be billed every month until you cancel your plan. You can cancel at any time as long as you give us 30 days notice. It’s just that simple.

How does it work? How can I use the dedicated monthly content updates and support time?

The monthly content updates and support time can be used for a number of things such as updating text and images on your site, adding blog posts, tweaking theme or plugin stylesheets, creation of basic graphics (e.g. buttons, banners, etc.), creating online forms, WordPress Q&A (pick our brain), etc.

Does the monthly time rollover?

Monthly time does not roll over. It is there to reserve your place in our schedule for dedicated time and resources. We’d like to encourage you to update your website at least once per month — it helps your customers to know your business active and current, and it also helps with behind-the-scenes things like search engine rankings.

What if I need more time than my plan allows?

If you have a task that requires more than your dedicated monthly time, we will submit a quote for you to approve separately from your plan However, many times we will evaluate requests that exceed your time on a case by case basis, and with approval, work past the time and bill for time exceeded at our current support rate of $50/hr.

What happens if my website goes down, is hacked, breaks, etc?

The whole purpose of our client plans is preventative care, so we hope to prevent anything from happening. However, in the case your website does get compromised, we will be there every step of the way. We cannot promise your website will not be hacked but can promise we will do everything in our power to prevent it, as well as assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups.

My site wasn't built by Virtual MoJo, can I still be on one of your support plans?

Our support plans are designed for websites that we have designed. But we also welcome new and returning clients who are looking for someone to provide dedicated long-term support.

To start, we would like to do an initial Website Evaluation to familiarize ourselves with your set up. Not all developers and designers use the same tools (and not all tools are equal), so we will have to make sure that your website is set up with professional-quality themes and plugins can be updated properly. We’ll make a full backup of your site, and then do a thorough review from both the visitor side as well as the WordPress admin setup. We will make a list of technical issues that need fixing, software that needs updating, and suggestions for overall improvements in order to proceed on a monthly plan.
